Vurr is a personal espresso dial-in tool. Your shot logs and grinder settings stay on your device by default. We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.

What data the app stores

Vurr stores the following on your device:

• Shot logs: grind setting, dose, yield, time, rating, and tasting notes you enter
• Bean profiles: name, roaster, roast level, and other details you provide
• Bag tracking records: open and finish dates, roast date and remaining weight
• Grinder and machine settings you configure
• App preferences

All of this is stored locally on your device. If you uninstall the app, this data is deleted.

Optional cloud backup

You may choose to create an account to back up your data to the cloud (powered by Supabase). This is entirely optional; the app works fully without an account.

If you create an account:

• Your email address is stored for sign-in
• Your shot logs and bean profiles are synced to a private database
• Only you can access your data; it is not shared with other users or third parties
• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings

Apple Health

If you turn on Log Caffeine to Apple Health in Settings, Vurr writes one caffeine entry to Apple Health for each shot you log. The amount is an estimate based on the shot's dose and the bean's robusta share.

• Vurr only writes caffeine. It does not read any data from Apple Health.
